This service opened with raw, unscripted encounter — a spontaneous prayer over Cliff, followed by Emma sharing her testimony of walking away from the Lord into New Age practices before fully surrendering to Jesus. A young man named Philip responded to the altar call and gave his life to Christ. From that moment, the entire service carried the weight of what it truly costs to follow Jesus: not a religion, not a church, but a person.
Pastor Austin preached from Luke 14 that forsaking all is not the ceiling of Christian life — it's the floor. He then moved into the primary teaching from Colossians 2:13–14, establishing that canceling debt is in the very nature of God. Using 2 Kings 6 (the floating ax head) as a biblical precedent and his own testimony of giving away a car while still owing $15,000 on it — and watching both the car note and a tax debt supernaturally eliminated within months — he called the church to repent of debt-based thinking, stop borrowing, and believe God for supernatural financial deliverance.
